Florida Hospital Offers Heart Smart Lectures

February is the month of the heart. Not only is it Valentine's Day, but it is also the month that we are supposed to be more aware of our heart health. Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center, located in Daytona Beach, will be offering a series of heart health lectures for February.

Topics of the lectures include:

- Women and heart disease

- Ask the heart doctor

- Heart healthy recipes you'll fall in love with

- Coronary artery disease

Princess and the Frog Jewelry Recalled

If your child has recently obtained a Princess and the Frog necklace like the ones above, take note! Today the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall notice on 50,000 of these necklaces that were sold at Walmart.

Turns out, the necklaces have high levels of a toxic substance called cadmium. If ingested, it can have adverse health effects. Aren't recalls like this becoming a habit?
