Prince of Peace Octoberfest
October 6-9 (6-11 pm on Thursday, noon-11 pm Friday, noon-11 pm. Saturday, and noon-6 pm Sunday).
Held at the Prince of Peace Church at 600 S. Nova Road in Ormond Beach. Admission is free, rides cost extra. There will be rides, games, and entertainment. For more info call 386-672-5272.

Freaky Fridays
October 7-28 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
This is an even that will take place each Friday at the DeBary Hall Historic Site at 210 Sunrise Blvd. in DeBary. It is for children ages 3-10 and will feature crafts, games, and more. $3 per child, costumes optional. Call 386-668-3840 for more info.

October 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This is a festival presented by the German-American Society of Daytona Beach. It will be held at the Palmetto Club at 1000 S. Beach St. in Daytona Beach. Admission is $5. For more info call 386-677-0168.

Fall Festival
Deltona Lakes Elementary

The annual fall festival will feature a carnival, bounce house, dunk tank, silent auction, entertainment, food, and haunted house. Tickets for food and activities may be purchased in advance: 4 tickets for $1, or at the event: 3 tickets for $1.

Green Pumpkin Celebration
October 19 from 8:00 a.m. to noon
Pavilion at Port Orange
There will be a silent auction, paint-a-pumkin, ChicoBag design contest, trick-or-treating, puppet show, and more!

Family Halloween Fest
October 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Held at Gamble Place, in Port Orange, there will be a family festival featuring live music, entertainment, kid's trick or treating, etc. The kids trick or treating will be from 1:00 to 3:00 (costumes optional) and there will be games and prizes. Admission is free for members of the Museaum of Arts and Sciences and $3 for non-members. For more info call 386-255-0285.

Ghost Hunting in DeLand
October 20 at 5:30 p.m.
This event will be held at the DeLand library. Following the talk there will be a real-life guided tour through "haunted" DeLand. The walking tour costs $15 per person, will last about 90 minutes and is not strenuous. For more information, call 386-822-6430 ext. 109.

Port Orange Fall Festival
October 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There will be a fall festival at the First United Methodist in Port Orange, located at 305 Dunlawton Ave. in Port Orange. This is a family festival that will feature an obstacle course, bounce house, carnival games, prizes, and more! There is also a pumpkin patch.

This free festival will feature a pumpkin patch, photo opportunities, live music, games, hayrides, music and more. The pumpkin patch is open prior to the festival, from October 10th-31st. Times are Monday – Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Zoo Boo Bash
October 22, 23, 29 &30th

A fright-filled event with adult potions and concoctions, bizarre foods, zombie dancing, laser hunting for Zombies, dead music by live bands, a wicked costume contest, haunted laboratory, creepy carnival games, ghost train and more. Must be 21 or older to attend.  $35 per person; $40 at the door; $15 for designated drivers.

Halloween Party
October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Port Orange Library
The Port Orange Library is holding their children's Halloween Party. Bring the kids, dressed in their costumes, and a treat to share with the group. The kids will parade their costumes through the library, eat treats and hear stories. Lots of fun for kids birth through age five.

Teen Halloween
October 26 at 3:00 p.m.
The Teen Zone at the Port Orange Library will be having a teen halloween event. It will feature tales of teh supernatural and things that go bump in the night. Call Tamara at 386-322-5152 ext. 30 for more info.

Enchanted Forest Hayrides

Fall Festival
October 26 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Edgewater Library will be holding a fall festival that will feature family fun, such as games, face painting, snacks, prizes, and more! It is free and open to everyone. For more information, call 386-424-2916.

Fall Storybook Carnival
October 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Longstreet Elementary School, located at 2745 S. Peninsula Dr. in Daytona Beach, will be holding their annual storybook carnival. There will be storybook themed booths, activities, sand art, face painting, and more. Admission and parking are free, there is a fee for carnival games and food. For more info, call 386-322-6172.

History Mystery Tours
Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach
October 28 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tickets are $6 and can be purchased from the New Smyrna Beach Museum of History at 120 Sams Ave. They are offering guided tours where you can hear famous New Smyrnian and ghost stories. For more information, call 386-423-9760.

GreenHalloween 2011
October 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Daytona Beach Downtown Farmer's Market (located near 105 Magnolia Ave.)
Drop by Hallogreen for an eco-friendly Halloween that will feature entertainment, eco products, a kid's zone, kid's yoga, arts and crafts, green workshops, and more. Free.

The Green Pumpkin 50/50 Challenge Event
October 29 from 8:00 a.m. to noon
This event will be taking place at the Green Market at the Pavilion at Port Orange. There will be pumpkin carving, trick-or-treating for the little kids, a puppet show, crafts, and more.

Fall-O-Ween Festival
October 29 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
There will be a festival held at Ormond Beach Elementary, located at 100 Corbin Ave. in Ormond Beach. The event includes a free trunk or treat, games and storytime. Tickets are available for purchasing and decorating fresh pumpkins. You can also decorate a Halloween donut, do a fun cake walk, and more.

Haunted Hay Ride
October 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
There will be a haunted hay ride, including food, games and fun, at VFW 4250, located at 2350 Sun Set Drive in New Smyrna Beach (behind the airport). This event is free, open to the public, and for kids under 14. Costumes are optional.

Children's Halloween Party in the Park
October 29 starting at 5:30 p.m.
There will be a Halloween in the park celebration in Ponce Inlet, at Davies Lighthouse Park. There will be a costume parade at 5:30 p.m. at the boat trailer parking lot. There will also be a haunted hayride that will run from 6 to 7 p.m. For more info, call 386-236-2183.

Fall Festival and Haunted Forest
October 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
There will be a fall festival and haunted forest held at the SE Volusia YMCA in Edgewater. It will feature trunk or treat, games, prizes, costume contests, and more. The forest is open from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Admission to this family event is one non-perishable food item per person (which will be donated to local food pantries). Halloween Spooktactular
October 30 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
This family fun event will be held on the Embry Riddle campus. Kids can get treats, visit a carnival, do games and crafts, and more. Parents should attend with children and have them bring a container for their treats. The address for this is at 600 S. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Daytona Beach. Fall Festival
October 30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The White Chapel Church of God will be holding a fall festival, featuring inflatable games, cake walk, chili cookoff, food, music, and trunk or treat. They are located at 1730 Ridgewood Ave. in South Daytona. For more info, call 386-767-5470.

Annual Halloween Parade and Costume Contest
Canal Street, New Smyrna Beach
October 31 at 4:00 p.m.
The parade and costume contest will take place on Canal Street.

Monsters on MainStreet
October 31 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Held in Downtown DeLand, children can go trick or treating for candy provided by local merchants. There will also be a dance party for kids. Free.

Stable Haven Fall Festival
New Smyrna Beach
November 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
This will be their first fall festival and it is a family fun event. Activities include a horse costume contest ($5 entree fee), meeting the horses, refreshments, a hay ride and more. For more details visit their event Facebook page here.

Annual Fall Festival
November 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This festival will be held at the Church of the Holy Child at 1225 W. Granada Blvd. in Ormond Beach. There will be music, treats, carnival games, a magician, arts and crafts, bounce houses, puppet show, face painting, dunk tank, and more!
