Kale Cafe Port Orange review

I'm thrilled to say that Kale Cafe is now open in Port Orange! They opened at 11:00 this morning, and we were there an hour later for lunch.

I've known the owners, Camille and Omar, since before they had the Kale Cafe restaurants. They are good people and make delicious vegan food. I've never tried anything that I don't like. Everything is delicious! Port Orange desperately needed a restaurant like this, as the town is drowning in fast food chain restaurants and very few places that offer something unique. Plus, I now have an all vegan restaurant just 10 minutes from my house. Boy, does that make me happy!

Today, we had the sweet and spicy seitan as the main dish (you pick one main and three sides). For my sides, I had their amazing kale salad, sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese. All the food is vegan and it's all so darn delicious. If you have never tried vegan food like this before don't be afraid. It's really good! And they will let you sample before buying. Stop in and see what dishes they have and try a bite of them to see what you think. They also have dishes like tofu, an amazing veggie burger, jerk mushrooms, plantains, cookies, smoothies, juices, etc. There's lots to choose from and you are bound to find something you like.

They have done a great job with the restaurant, which looks awesome. There's a nice bright color scheme, plenty of tables and seating, and they are in a great location. Stop in and check it out. The new Port Orange location of Kale cafe is located next to Moe's on Dunlawton, out in front of BJ's.

Two thumbs up... this is a great day for Port Orange!
