If you have a business, whether local or national, that would be of interest to moms in the Daytona Beach and Volusia County area, you may want to consider advertising on the Volusia County Moms (VCM) site.
VolusiaCountyMoms.com is the go-to site for area families looking for things to do in the area. Whether they are looking for programs and classes, or information on area attractions, they can find it here (and much more). We have thousands of local moms (as well as some dads) who log on to the site regularly. According to Google Analytics in August 2017, 78% of the monthly users are female, with 26% of the audience being between 25-34 years old, and 33% being between 35-44 years old.
Advertising Pricing Options:
- Home Page (left or right side of page) with a 225x225 pixel square ad (static). Home page advertising pricing depending on the position. Ads on the left or right side of the page appear on every page of the blog. During 2017, the site had around 730,000 page views, and averages around 23,000 monthly visitors. Contact us for current home page options.
- Marketplace listing is $249 for the year, and includes a monthly blog post option and more. The Marketplace is a local business directory. With this package you get an ad in the business directory that links to your website, as well as the option to send in one monthly item to be posted (which provides a lot of additional exposure). Learn more about joining the Marketplace here!
- Get a blog post (a page) for only $50. Use this for a one-time promotion of your business, event, announcement, etc. Learn more here!
- Sponsorship and other premium ad placements can be arranged. These special advertising sponsorship opportunities provide premium exposure to assist with your image branding and in reaching the moms of Volusia County. Contact VCM to discuss these options.
Ad space is sold for one year at a time, unless other special arrangements have been made, with full payment rendered at the time the agreement begins.
While the site was first started in November 2009, the traffic to it has rapidly been increasing, as has the number of people that follow the site either through RSS feed, e-mail, Twitter, or Facebook. The site gets around 730,000 page views per year! That is tens of thousands of chances each month to get your information in front of local parents. And with our active site, you don't need to have information in one or two months ahead of time.
In addition to the blog traffic, the VCM Facebook page has become an integrated community of moms. The monthly Facebook reach ranges from 25,000-75,000 people per week, depending on what is posted. There are over 30,000 people who follow the Facebook page, and there is a high percentage of people who are engaged.
Volusia County Moms has become the place where moms go to know... about everything!
Want to see where we stack up against other local sites? Check out our stats on Alexa.com. When you are done looking at ours, go up to the top of the page and type in the address of similar sites to compare traffic rank information. This will give you an idea of what site gets the most traffic (by the way, the lower the rank, the better). Keep in mind that VCM is completely local and is not inflating traffic numbers by being attached to a national site (as some sites are). There are some sites that appear to be "local," when their traffic is being highly inflated by being attached to a national site, because they are only a franchise. Those national traffic numbers will do nothing to help you attract local business. VCM is completely locally owned and operated and is not a franchise of a national company.
Why Online Advertising
Unlike magazines, we can get information out to our readers immediately. Advertising on this site has a big advantage over print advertising (e.g., magazines, newspapers), in that consumers can access it 24/7 and the information is current. We can offer more information, keep it updated in real time, and are accessible to the readers where and when they want the info. Magazines typically have a 6-8 week lead time, while we can get information posted nearly immediately and keep it fresh. This site offers an ongoing and updated events calendar that keeps people coming back, looking for family friendly events in and throughout the Daytona Beach area. People who read magazines tend to look through it once and toss it, whereas this site remains a trusted place that they can come back to at any time during the month. No waiting for the next issue to come out. Magazines have a short shelf life. In fact, their readership has been drastically declining over the years, while the amount of time people spend online looking for information has been drastically increasing. Adults are online nearly all of the time. They give very little time to reading a magazine, which is then trashed, recycled (hopefully), or essentially lost. Weekly newspapers delivered to homes that didn't ask for them typically get washed down the drains or immediately picked up from the driveway and tossed into the trash can. When people want information about local events and opportunities, they go online. Think about it, what do you do when you want local information? Do you go online, or do you go looking for a magazine or a driveway newspaper? Plus, online advertising costs a fraction of what it costs to advertise in print. Why? Because of the overhead. It's becoming increasingly more expensive to print and distribute magazines and newspapers, but the overhead to have the information online is cost effective. It saves paper and resources, as well as money in your advertising budget. Not only are you spending your advertising dollars in a more effective way with online advertising, thus increasing your ROI, but you are also making a decision that is better for the planet and ensures you will be where the people are when they go looking for the information.
