Two Festivals This Weekend: Turtle Festival and Native American Festival

The annual Turtle Fest will be held in Flagler Beach on Saturday, April 2, 2011. There will be exhibits, music, food, and turtles! The festival is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be located at Veterans Memorial Park, which is at the corner of A1A and State Road 100, in Flagler Beach.

The Native American Earth Festival will take place Saturday and Sunday, April 2nd and 3rd, 2011. The event will be held at Reed Canal Park, located at 2871 S. Nova Rd. in South Daytona. There will be Native American cultural exhibits, music, crafts, and more. Saturday it will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission fee is $4 for adults, $2 for children 4-12.

Sea Squirts - A Walk on the Beach

The news Sea Squirts program, held at the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach, will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The theme this month is "A Walk on the Beach." It will focus on some things you may see walking on the beach.

The Sea Squirts program is open to children ages 2-5. There is a $5 per person fee to participate. You will need to RSVP by calling 386-428-4828.

The Marine Discovery Center is located at 162 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
