Seashell Event at the Port Orange Library

If you know me, you probably know that I'm a conchologist (someone who collects seashells). I love seashells, learning about them, collecting them on the beaches, and showing my collection to others. I even make a trip to Sanibel Island (near Fort Myers) every March so I can go shelling (read about it here). The shelling is the best over there!

Anyway, there's going to be a seashell event at the Port Orange Library on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. It will be led by Joel Wooster, who is a Florida Master Naturalist and seashell expert. The class will take place at 2:00 p.m. and is free. He will share info about seashells that can be found locally, as well as bringing some from his personal collection.
