Play Softball—A really fun idea for a larger active family on Mother’s Day is to play a game of Softball. Mothers, call you brothers, sisters, in-laws, and friends and get everyone together for a big game. You could even go as far as to make it a Mother’s Day BBQ if you wanted. Mother’s Day is about spending time with the people you love, and this is a great way to do that and get a little exercise.

Take a Family Bike Ride—Here’s another way the active family can celebrate Mom. A bike ride combines exercise with the outdoors, making it a two-in-one way to spend Mother’s Day with your family. Go for a long ride and pack a picnic. And after you’ve enjoyed your lunch, burn off those calories on the ride back!
