It all started on March 28th 2014 around 6:04pm. My fiancé, my mom and I were on our way to the NSB balloon fest, when my water broke in the car on our way. We pulled over to make sure it was my water and I didn't just pee myself!

I called my midwife from the Tree of Life Birthing Center and she told me to go home and shower and relax until contractions got stronger. She had me come into the birthing center around 8 pm to check me. I was only 2cm dilated and like 60% effaced. She sent me home and I was to come back by 8 am the next morning, if I didn't go into full blown labor before then. I arrived back at the birthing center at 8 am and was now 4cm dilated and and 80% effaced.

We decided to try and bring it all on more by taking herbs and doing some lunges up the stairs. After like 10 hours of doing this I finally went into full blown labor on my due date of March 30th. I was in labor for nearly 34 hours and with nearly 4 hours of pushing I successfully achieved my goal of an all natural birth to our beautiful 21 1/2 inches 9.2 pound baby boy!
