Restaurant Review: Zen Bistro in Daytona Beach
I have heard from numerous people that I needed to try Zen Bistro, located in Daytona Beach. I love Thai food, but for years I have went to Siam Spice (and love it there). But I heard so much about Zen Bistro that I decided to give it a try this week.
When I was back in Michigan a year ago I had gotten fried tofu from a Thai place and loved it. For the last year I have been trying to find it here and couldn't... until I went to Zen Bistro this week! My search was over. They had exactly what I have been looking for and it was so darn good! The fried tofu comes with a wondrful sweet and sour dip that has some crushed peanuts in it. I loved that dish!
I had also ordered an entree, even though I knew I'd be taking most of it home to my husband. Sure enough, about three bites into it and I was already full from eating all the fried tofu, so I got the rest of the dish to go and my husband enjoyed eating it. The entree I ordered was the eggplant with tofu (mild spice), and it was good!
I really liked Zen Bistro and will be back again. The food was good, they have a great menu of options, and the restaurant is nice. They offer indoor seating, as well as offering an outdoor garden patio that is really nice. Two thumbs up for Zen Bistro! You can visit their site here.
