High School Swimming Tune-Up

Parents of middle-schoolers, would your child be interested in a varsity sport in which he or she can actually participate and compete rather than sit on the bench (or in the bleachers)? Swimming may be the sport. USRP Racers Swim Team offers summer training sessions to prepare for high school swimming. Emphasis is on learning and improving all four strokes, including starts and turns, plus general conditioning leading to race-pace training.

A maximum of 15 swimmers will be accepted in order to ensure adequate attention for each swimmer. Swimmers of all ability levels are welcome, including swimmers with previous high school swimming experience. We are a swimmer-friendly club - “no drama” and “no negativity” - located in central Daytona Beach.

Practices are held at the Cypress Aquatic Center, 981 George W. Engram Blvd., south of the Toyota dealer on Nova Road. The schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 9 – August 4, 5:00-6:00.

The fee of $150 includes membership in USA Swimming (required for insurance purposes), coaching fees, pool fee, team cap, and end-of-the-summer swim meet. All coaches are USA –Swimming certified.

Start dates prior to June 9 are also available. Check out our website usrpracers.com for more information about the team, or contact Coach Rob Klotzbach at 386-566-3404 or Anne Grams at 386-451-1910.
