Join Cinematique for a unique family Christmas event! Local authors will be leading Christmas storybook readings, a puppet show, and a sing-along! Complimentary cocoa and cookies will be provided.

FREE admission for children and accompanying adults.

About the authors & presenters:

-Helena Yates is the author of the Princess Rain and Sir Sidney Dragon book series. Helena is an award-winning lyricist and songwriter, a teacher of classical ballet, and an avid performer who has been bringing the story of PRINCESS RAIN AND THE DRAGON to life with her creative partner, Wendy C. Crouch, through a popular puppet show presentation.

-WOOFUS AND THE REINDEER by Dorothy Bradley is an interesting tale about a lonely dog who ends up doing a good deed for Santa Claus, his elves, and reindeer. The book has strong themes of friendship and caring. It also includes a separate section for questions which require short answers and those that lead to in-depth discussions.

-Joan Harris, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, is the mother of four grown sons and is now enjoying thirteen grandchildren, which helps explain Joan’s interest in writing for children. Joan is a member of Florida Writers Association and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Dr. Mary Custureri will be reading Joan Harris’ book CHRISTMAS IN THE KINGDOM OF KOOL.

-Dr. Mary Custureri will be reading THE CHRISTMAS GEESE by Dr. Nancy Mims. An adventure with a surprise ending, involving a whole neighborhood of little birds. THE CHRISTMAS GEESE is Dr. Mims’ first published children’s book.
