New Barnes and Noble in Daytona Beach

Barnes-and-noble-daytonaOut with the old, in with the new! For years, I've went to the Barnes and Noble store on ISB, across from the speedway. But starting tomorrow (April 17, 2019), if you want to stop by Barnes and Noble in Daytona Beach you will head in the other direction. The old location has been replaced, with a beautiful new location by Tanger Outlets.

The new Barnes and Noble store is located at Tomoka Town Center, at 1115 Cornerstone Blvd., Suite C, Daytona Beach. The new location is, well, really nice! As you all know, I'm a writer and a reader. I aim to read at least 52 books per year (usually reading closer to 60 per year). Books are like air to me, and as such, I love book stores, too.

This new location is smaller in size, around 15,000 square feet of space, but still offers 37,000 titles. The store is open, well lit, inviting, and not cluttered like the old location. There are aisles of books, lots of space to get cozy and check some out, a cafe to get a drink or light bite, small spaces you could meet up with book club friends, and more. There are also long community tables where you can charge your phone or plug in a laptop. The kids section features an area where they hold children's events and activities, and a Lego table, where kids can sit and have some of their own fun.

I was really excited to get a chance to check it out today, because I'm such a book fan, as well as a Barnes and Noble fan. It's a really nice store that people are going to love. In addition to the many books, you can find lots of cool items like vinyl records, games and puzzles, toys for the kids, and gifts for book lovers.

Barnes and Noble will be hosting numerous book clubs and other community groups and events. I have a couple of books myself, and hopefully I can get them to soon carry my new historical fiction novel, "Blueberry Steel." Be sure to stop in and check out what they have to offer and see the new store design!
