Daytona Lagoon Raises Over $6,800 for The Boys & Girls Club of Volusia/Flagler Counties

Daytona Lagoon raised $6,807 during a Christmas in July fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club Volusia/Flagler Counties. From July 22-25, 2019, Daytona Lagoon promoted Christmas in July, which was a reduced waterpark admission from $29.99 to $12.50 per ticket and a 2-hour family entertainment center wristband for $12.50, normally priced $28.99.  The Boys and Girls Club received one dollar from each ticket sold.

“We are proud to give back to the local community, thankful to everyone who purchased tickets during this fundraiser, and look forward to delivering our brand of fun to those ticket holders,” says Tyler Currie, general manager of Daytona Lagoon. “We firmly believe in The Boys & Girls Club’s mission to create caring and responsible citizens, and we’re happy that the money could go to a deserving and hard-working organization that works hard to better the lives of the young kids in the Daytona area.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/Flagler Counties mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens and leaders. “Raising funds in our community is paramount for us in order to serve over 1400 children each year, explains Robin Markus, development director for Boys and Girls Club of Volusia/Flagler Counties. “We appreciate our partnership with Daytona Lagoon and look forward to future opportunities to join efforts.”
