First Watch Port Orange Review
Today, I met a friend at First Watch in Port Orange for breakfast. I had never been there, but she likes the restaurant and suggested it.
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked inside the restaurant. It looked bigger and nicer than I had imagined. I really liked the look and feel of the restaurant. There are plenty of tables, a nice Port Orange painting on the wall, and there was an overall nice atmosphere. We were shown to a booth and our breakfast outing began.
I had already looked at the menu the day before, so that I could see if there was something I'd want to eat. As it turned out, there were several options I was interested in trying, but I had my heart set on the Triple Berry Acai Bowl, which is a seasonal item. Sue ordered the Market Veg Omelet, and we both had unsweet iced tea (hers with lemon, mine without). The food arrived and looked great.
The acai bowl was absolutely delicious! I ate every bit of it and felt like licking the bowl after I was finished. The dish has organic acai, which was semi-frozen, and it was topped with fresh strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and their housemade granola. I loved every bite of it! The bowl was served with their whole grain artisan bread and is topped with almond butter. I loved that touch as well, because it was nice to go back and forth between the cold acai bowl and the almond butter toast. It made for a great combination. Sue's omelet had roasted zucchini, Crimini mushrooms, shallots, kale and tomatoes with Goat cheese and fresh herbs. She said that the omelet was really good.
I will go back to First Watch again. I loved the acai bowl and already saw some other dishes on their menu I'd like to try, including a coconut chia seed bowl.
The meal for the iced tea and acai bowl was almost $14 before tip. There is also a First Watch in Daytona Beach on International Speedway Blvd.
