The Blue Spring State Park Lights at Night (firefly) event will begin around mid-March 2020 and last for a 2 week period. There is no way to determine when the fireflies will 1st appear. An announcement will be made on the Florida State Parks website and Facebook a few days prior to the event.
All participants should be in the park by 7 pm. Please meet on the Thursby House lawn at 7:45 pm. All participants must have an After-hours Permit to participate. The park entrance fee is $4 for one person in a vehicle, $6 for 2 - 8 people in a vehicle. The event fee is $10 per vehicle. You will receive an After-hours Permit when you pay the event fee.
Visitors will be allowed to remain in the park for one hour after closing to go on a self-guided tour. Dates will be announced soon (they first need to see the fireflies appearing).
