Garden Club of Ponce Inlet Margie Jones Memorial Scholarship
All high school seniors living in Ponce Inlet are encouraged to apply. The First Place Award of $2000 and Second Place of $1000 will be awarded at the club’s special Arbor Day meeting on April 22, 2020. Thanks to community support of the club’s special events throughout the year, deserving students receive various levels of financial awards.
This scholarship is intended to assist in the continuing education of a high school senior upon graduation. The applicant is asked to prepare a 500-word essay on the topic “My Town, I’m part of it, I’m proud of it.” They will also submit a resume of school, extracurricular and community activities and indicate which educational institution they plan to attend after graduation. A letter of recommendation is also required.
The application is available at the Ponce Inlet Community Center, 4670 S. Peninsula Dr. in Ponce Inlet. The deadline for receipt is Friday, March 13, 2020. All applications must be submitted by Certified Mail, Return Receipt Requested. Please contact Kathy Wilson for more information.

- The Awards Ceremony will be April 22, 2020. We would love to have local coverage of our Ceremony which will include members of the the Ponce Inlet Town Council, students, parents and teachers.
