There will be a household hazardous waste collection day in Daytona Beach on November 7, 2020. You can drop the items off at Public Works, located at 950 Bellevue Ave. in Daytona Beach between the hours of 9 am to 3 pm. They will be collecting such hazardous waste as batteries, antifreeze, household chemicals, propane tanks, fertilizers, pool chemicals, light bulbs, paints, and more. This is a great way to keep these items out of the water supply and landfill and ensure they are properly disposed of.
If you miss this or live in an area not covered, you can drop these same items off any day at the Tomoka Landfill, located at 1990 Tomoka Farms Rd, Port Orange. They will properly dispose of the items there as well.
