Learn about Volusia County mosquito control

As part of National Mosquito Control Awareness Week starting Monday, June 21, 2021 - Friday, June 25, 2021, Volusia County Mosquito Control will host a series of pop-up educational events throughout the county. The events will allow the public to learn about the county’s integrated pest management program and best practices for mosquito prevention and population control. The events will include a newly remodeled Fight the Bite trailer, which offers many hands-on learning and education opportunities and a mosquito-related theme each day.

Monday, June 21 (10 am - 1 pm) Spruce Creek Park - 6250 S. Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange
Tuesday, June 22 (10 am - 1 pm) Halifax Humane Society - 2364 LPGA Blvd. Daytona Beach
Wednesday, June 23 ( 9 am - noon) Seminole Rest- 207 River Road Oak Hill
Thursday, June 24 ( 9 am - noon) City of Holly Hill - 1065 Ridgewood Ave. Holly Hill
Friday, June 25 ( am - noon) Doris Leeper Spruce Creek Preserve - 2317 Creek Shore Trail - New Smyrna Beach
 
Additionally to in-person events, virtual education presentations on mosquito biology and integrated pest management will be conducted digitally.
