Convenient Prenatal Care for Moms on Medicaid

Learning that you are expecting can bring many emotions— every woman may feel a range of feelings from excited to anxious to joyful and even a bit scared. Many women even find it overwhelming finding time to schedule appointments with their OB/GYN during pregnancy.

AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN at Daytona Beach is now offering even more care options for mothers-to-be with their brand-new virtual OB program. The best part? Patients have no additional costs for choosing virtual OB care. This new virtual OB program gives women the choice to have some of their prenatal visits from the comfort of their own home. After an initial consultation with Dr. Cecille Tapia-Santiago, a board-certified OB/GYN with over 24 years of experience, women who are considered a good candidate for virtual care can start scheduling virtual appointments.

Expecting mothers who qualify for this program will take home a blood pressure cuff, digital scale and even a fetal doppler so they can hear their baby’s heartbeat at home! During each virtual visit, a physician will review important information, key milestones and all women will still receive the same expert care they would receive when coming in for an appointment. Virtual OB services are covered by most insurance plans, including Medicaid.

Want to see if virtual OB care is right for you? Take the first step and schedule a consultation at AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN at Daytona Beach or call us at 386-231-3580.
