Drawing & Painting: 
Ages 5-12

Calling artists big and small to join this week of creative exploration and skill building covering a wide variety of drawing and painting media! We will use observation, experimentation, & imagination to create inspiring art projects using different styles and techniques, inspired by art history. Get messy with splatter paint, then practice gesture drawing with charcoal. Create a still life painting, then explore pop art. Learn step by step drawing techniques, then play imaginative drawing games. Create a self-portrait, then an abstract masterpiece. And more!! Join us for an art adventure to remember!
 
Art & Science:

Explore the wonders of the world through hands-on experiments and science inspired art-making!  Experiments may include: slime making, crystal making, lemon batteries, strawberry DNA extraction, bath bomb making, lava lamps, fizzy potions & rockets, making a camera obscura, and more!
 
Stop Motion Animation:

If you love clay, animation, & wildly creative storytelling, this camp is for you! Learn the basics of good stop motion filming to imagine and create your own short animations. You can even incorporate a green screen to place your characters in different backgrounds! Let's get creative and make silly, fun, and awesome movies together!
 
Inventor's Camp:

Calling all inventors! Do you love to build, tinker, and take things apart? In this beloved program, children tinker to design & construct imaginative inventions using a variety of interesting materials. Children learn basic circuitry to incorporate motors, switches, LEDs, gears, wheels, propellers, & more to make things spin, roll, & light up! Fun projects might include building an Edison light bulb, a lemon battery, a speaker with a copper coil & magnet, and more! We will also explore basic robotics & programming to design & build a collaborative robot using sensors, lights, & servo motors! Join in collaborative problem solving exercises! Inspire one another to imagine & build something NEW! Join the Inventor's Camp!

Kaiwa believes kids can sew!  In this camp, students will learn basics of hand and machine sewing through fun projects!  Throughout the week, students will design and sew a pillow, a stuffie, a bag, and clothing.  Gain confidence, grow skills, and have fun in this beloved camp!  Limited space... +$25 due to extra 1-on-1 support and small class size.
 
Fashion Design:
Ages 8-15  $225
Limited Space! Do you love designing clothes for yourself or dolls? Do you love fashion? This camp is for you! Throughout the week, we will explore the history of fashion throughout time and design our own clothes to illustrate and sew prototypes to wear. Learn fashion illustration techniques and sew the outfit of your dreams! Upcycle clothes to create recycled fashion! At the end of the week, put on a Fashion Show for your parents to show off all you learned! Limited space... +$25 due to extra 1-on-1 support and small class size.
 
Sculpture:
Ages 5-13 $199  
 
Let's share the joys of working with our hands to create imaginative, unique, and masterful sculptures!  Materials to spark our creativity will be air-dry clay, wood, found objects, paper mache, and more.  Sculpture from around the world and throughout time will inspire us to create new forms in conversation with artists and makers who came before!  Using clay, children will learn the basics of handbuilding and wheel-throwing to build creative figures of their choosing and pots! Subject matter for hand-building might include animals, slab-boxes, etc., learning proper techniques for attaching pieces together, preventing cracking and breaking, and more. On the wheel, children will learn how to make small cups, bowls, vases, or pitchers!
