Review: Lilly Rose Café in New Smyrna Beach
I recently opened a massage therapy business in New Smyrna Beach, just off of Canal Street (read about that here). I noticed that I'm within a 2-3 minute walk from several restaurants, which is pretty neat. So after giving my husband a massage this past weekend, we walked over to Lilly Rose Café for lunch.
Lilly Rose Café is located at 211 Downing, which is about a one minute walk from where my place, Zensational Massage Therapy, is located. It's a cute little café that has some indoor and outdoor seating. What drew me in was that they have acai bowls. I'm a fan of acai bowls! I did a review not so long ago one the ones at Stoked Poke. Once we saw the other things they offered, we ended up getting even more.
The place offers fresh smoothies, juices, wraps, acai bowls, snacks, pre-made salads and dishes (most of which were vegan), cookies, etc. They also offer soup each day. On this particular day they had a vegan Brazilian black bean soup. We opted to get two of the acai bowls, a bowl of the black bean soup, and one of the cookies. We took a seat at one of the little tables and waited for the food to arrive. Everything looked good when it was ready!
The acai bowls were good, but the soup... ah, it was so good! We went in for the acai bowls and while we enjoyed them, we were really both loving the soup. I'd love to go back for more of that. They make different soups each day, so I'll have to keep upon what they are making and try some of the others.
Two thumbs up for Lilly Rose Café in New Smyrna Beach. I liked it and I will be back!
